Hitch quickly finished his Conformation
Championship title before he turned two
yrs old.  He earned  two 5 point majors
- one with a Best of Breed and Group
4th - one 4 point major, and one Best of
Opposite for the last point he needed.
From a working standpoint Hitch is a
lot of fun to train and work with.  He
has incredible power and speed in the
field and covers ground in a hurry.  He
runs very hard on both blinds and
marks. He is highly tractable, and has
a good amount of bottom end.
Currently Hitch is being trained for
hunt tests and hunting. In 2009 we
finished his NAHRA intermediate title.  I
am training with the long term goal of
getting his MH
and GMHR titles and
would eventually like to run him in
some Qualifying stakes. This year he
has
earned his NAHRA Master Hunting
Retriever title (going 4/4). He has

shown himself to be a consistent
'player' in hunt tests and has not failed
any test he has been run in (4 started,
2 junior, 4 intermediate, 1 (akc) senior,
and 4 (nahra) senior tests.)

Hitch came to me from the late Gary
Sorenson, of Sorenson Chesapeakes.
From the moment I picked Hitch up from
the airport as a puppy, it was easy to
see he was going to be quite a
character.  Hitch has a
great temperment
and is a fun and energetic chessie.  True
to Chessie nature, he enjoys having a
job to do and LIVES to retrieve.
